Engineering Damage Mechanics: Ductile, Creep, Fatigue and Brittle Failures

Engineering Damage Mechanics: Ductile, Creep, Fatigue and Brittle Failures
Engineering Damage Mechanics is deliberately oriented toward applications of Continuum Damage Mechanics to failures of mechanical and civil engineering components in ductile, creep, fatigue and brittle conditions depending upon the thermomechanical loading and the materials: metals and alloys, polymers, elastomers, composites, concretes. Nevertheless, to help engineers, researchers, beginners or not, the first two chapters are devoted to the main concepts of damage mechanics and to the associated computational tools.

Mechanical Engineering Handbook by Research & Education Association,
Mechanical Engineering Handbook by Research & Education Association,
This handbook is a review of the important facts and concepts in mechanical engineering. Comprehensive and concise, it is a handy reference source at all times for the professional and the student. It condenses the vast amount of detail characteristic of the subject matter and summarizes the essentials of the field. The book provides quick access to the important facts, principles, theorems, and equations in mechanical engineering.

Research Center for Advanced Manufacturing - Also known as RCAM, the mission of the center is to promote and apply university led advanced manufacturing research and development work. In order to respond to the industry's needs and to provide the conditions to educate undergraduate and graduate students in the area of manufacturing engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering along with SMU School of Engineering established the Research Center for Advanced Manufacturing (RCAM) in September of 1999.

Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council - The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) is a Canadian government division that provides grants for research in the natural sciences and in engineering. In 2004-2005, it will invest CAD $850 million in university-based research and training.

Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council - The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is a British Research Council that provides government funding for grants to undertake engineering and science research, mainly to universities in the United Kingdom. The head office is in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory - The Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) is a United States Army Corps of Engineers research facility located in Hanover, New Hampshire, specializing in scientific and engineering research regarding cold regions of the world.
